Our Story
The inspiration came when our founder’s father contracted Lyme- an illness that continues to affect him to this day. In his honor, TickCheck was born in 2014, named after his frequent reminder after time spent outdoors: “Do a tick check!”
We began by offering tick testing services (see below), and in 2017, we launched our first Tick Remover Kit. Since then, TickCheck Tick Removers have become the #1 best-selling tick remover on Amazon and are now available on Chewy, Lowes.com, Walmart.com, and in retail stores across the country.
Our Mission
Based in Pennsylvania- one of the most tick-prone regions in the U.S.- we believe prevention is the best protection against tick-borne illnesses, for both people and pets. The quicker a tick is removed, the lower the risk of disease transmission.
Our mission is to educate and empower our customers to stay safe from ticks and the diseases they may carry. Improper removal methods such as squeezing the tick’s body or attempting to smother or burn the tick- can actually increase the risk of infection. That’s why our tick remover tools are designed to make removal quick, safe, and effective. Each kit includes clear, easy-to-follow instructions, and every tool has been rigorously tested to ensure it performs reliably.

TickCheck is the nation’s top tick testing service. We work with an university-affiliated lab based in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to provide fast, highly rated, laboratory-quality tick testing to people in high-risk areas for Lyme and other tick-borne diseases nationwide.
Unlike traditional laboratories’ complicated test requisition forms, TickCheck.com has a simple, easy to use interface for ordering tick tests.
